As a medical wholesaler, Vandeputte Medical offers an extensive range of medical supplies. Its customer base is diverse, ranging from healthcare institutions such as nursing homes to the Red Cross and companies in need of BHV supplies. Vandeputte Medical's expertise includes the supply of various types of dressings, refrigerants, AEDs and evacuation equipment.
 

The problem

Although Vandeputte Medical was already working with an external partner for their B2B webshop, which used an integration with Microsoft Business Central. This integration was not working properly, so the correct price and stock information was not shown. Because Vandeputte Medical did want to show such data on its customer portal, Ecomwise was recommended by SucceedIT, specialists in the implementation of Microsoft Business Central. This was because of Ecomwise's standard integration between Magento and Microsoft Business Central. 

 The goal

The goal was to create a well-functioning web shop where all systems work together seamlessly and where product, price and stock information is displayed correctly. In addition, the development of a customer portal was high on the priority list, where end customers, in addition to insight into their orders and invoices, can also view the status of their service orders and inspection reports for their medical devices.

The result

Ecomwise's responsibilities included: 

  • The implementation of Ecomwise's proprietary link with the ERP system Business Central. Vandeputte Medical's existing link has been replaced, ensuring that product, price and stock information is displayed correctly.
  • Realising a customer portal. This is to meet the growing information needs of Vandeputte Medical's customers.

The result is a win-win situation for both Vandeputte Medical and their customers. The new customer portal Indeed, it offers several advantages, including:

  • Direct customer access to order information. Think invoices, service costs, medical equipment inspection reports and order history. This provides more overview and ease of use.
  • The ability to display customer-specific prices. Thus, customers receive an offer tailored to their specific needs, circumstances and agreements.
  • Higher customer satisfaction. Customers are helped faster when they have questions and they are better served thanks to the extensive range of information available within the portal. This saves Vandeputte Medical valuable time.
 

The future

Together with Vandeputte Medical, Ecomwise is taking the digital service on the webshop to the next level. For instance, the customer portal is being expanded to continuously improve the customer experience. This includes the realisation of an extensive dashboard, on which customers can see at a glance which medical devices they currently have in use.
