At the end of November, a new version of Magento 2 was launched namely Magento 2.3 In this blog article, we list the main new features of this version.

Support for PWAs 

Magento offers support for Progressive Web Apps, or PWAs, in the 2.3 version. A PWA is a website or webshop built with web technology that behaves like an app. So you can use the benefits of an app such as push notifications and offline availability while not having to develop separate apps. Currently, PWAs are still the exception but we expect this to become the standard at some point. So in 2019, we will definitely let you know more about this.

Multiple stock locations

A much requested functionality now added in Magento 2 is the use of multiple warehouses to manage your inventory. You can now add multiple stock locations within Magento and manage stock for these locations.

Google Recaptcha and 2 factor authentication

Magento has now added 2 factor authentication by default as additional security and provides support for Google Recaptcha on forms by default. Previously, this often had to be added with separate extensions and is now available by default in Magento 2.3.
