About IMC
IMC designs and manufactures industrial braking and friction materials, cable control systems and hydraulic systems. It does this for industrial machinery, construction and mining equipment, commercial transport and other special vehicles. From its office in Ede-Wageningen, it serves customers all over the world, with an in-house warehouse.
IMC's outdated webshop was in need of renewal. An upgrade in design, navigation, filter structure and search function was high on the agenda. To reduce manual tasks, integration with the ERP system was also important.
The goal
Together with IMC, Ecomwise set the following number of goals at the start of the collaboration:
● Improving service to customers through a more efficient customer portal;
● Increasing the usability of the website, including an improved navigation;
● Review of branding and a new look for an outdated website;
● Automation of manual processes by integration with its ERP system, Microsoft 365 Business Central.

● ... optimisations in design, navigation and filters, as well as an advanced search function that makes the user experience have on the website improved;
● ... integration with the ERP system Microsoft 365 Business Central. This has led to significant reductions in manual tasks. As a result saves IMC valuable time;
● ... Development of a customer portal which is currently focused on a track-and-trace functionality and displaying order history.
