About Dehaco
Dehaco is the supplier that supplies everything for walking, remediation or recycling projects. From coveralls, breathing protection and machines for cleaning asbestos to water sprayers against dust nuisance and hydraulic equipment for excavators. Dehaco has three locations in the Netherlands, making it accessible for its customers to drop by for service or products needed at very short notice.
The goal
In addition to its already existing corporate website, Dehaco wanted to develop a dedicated webshop on which they could bring their asbestos product range to customers online. The following objectives had to be achieved with the project:
● Introduction of a new e-commerce platform for the Asbestos product group.
● More efficient management of product data.
● Reducing the number of activities to be performed manually that are both time-intensive and error-prone.
● An integrated whole to move away from different systems that are not linked.
● Modular and scalable set-up for the future.
The result
For Dehaco, we built a webshop on Magento 2. Here, a custom design was chosen based on the customer's input and wishes. Besides offering the product range on the webshop, it also offers an online customer portal. Here, Dehaco customers are able to:
● Create own order lists which simplify the ordering process for business customers
● View and modify account details
● Viewing orders
In order to manage product data more efficiently, the choice was made to use a Product information management (PIM) system linking. Akeneo's PIM was chosen here. This enables Dehaco to manage all its product data including features, product descriptions, instructions/manuals and images etc. from a single system. Thanks to the integration with the webshop, changes are immediately visible on the webshop.
Besides the integration with Akeneo, it was important to link with Navision, Dehaco's ERP system. Through this link, stock and specific customer prices are transferred to the Magento 2 webshop.
